Tightening the fence...

It doesn't look like we're going to get anther section of wood fencing in this summer so we needed to do something to reinforce the old wire fence. We still had a bunch of green metal posts from when we took down the fence around the neighbors pasture. So today Tom and Cam went out and added a bunch of new posts to the existing fence. They shortened the distance between each post to about 4 feet and clipped the wire on. This should make it a lot harder for Alex to work the wires loose and work her way through the fence. I don't have any pictures of it yet but will try to get some soon.

Briars wounds from the attack have almost completely healed now and her hair is starting to grow back in. I talked to the Justice Court yesterday and the owner of the dog never appeared on his citations so they haven't set a hearing date yet. Yesterday was his last day to appear so now they will send him a warning and if he still doesn't show up they will issue a warrant and suspend his drivers licence. This of course leaves me hanging on restitution and at this point I really have my doubts that I will ever see a dime of the vet bill. It's frustrating but I'm totally thankful that things didn't turn out worse for Briar.
